The Outstanding Sons and Daughters of OFW's Awarded


 
     
 
 
     
 
Ten (10) outstanding student achievers from different schools in Luzon have made it to the final cut of the 1st Luzon Gawad Anak OFW 2008.The formal awards ceremonies was held at the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Auditorium in Intramuros, Manila last April 11, 2008. The award is organized by the Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Episcopal Commission for the Pastoral Care of Migrants and itinerant People (ECMI). Students from different schools in Luzon were interviewed by a panel last April 10. The school was represented by Rain Ramos and Clyd Marvin Tito. Among the 60 students interview. Ramos and Tito made it to the top twenty and were presented in the closing ceremony last April 11. When the top ten students were announced, Clyd Marvin Tito ranked 1st. The two Shepherdines were accompanied by Sr. Shirley Torrente, sjbp, Mrs. Lillian Frias, Ms. Abigail Gomez, and their mothers. The JGSS Dance Troupe and Glee Club together with their trainors and advisers presented an intermission number. Congratulations to Clyd Marvin Tito and Rain Ramos.
